There is so much I can say about this amazing man who is a legend in my eyes not only a legend but a hero in my eyes. My granddaddy worked so hard his entire life and devoted himself to his children and then his grandchildren and then when he met his great grandchildren. The interactions he had when he first met Hailey His first great Grand child were the best moments our family witnessed. One of my favorite memories of those two is when we bought him a can of peanuts and he would give her one and then give himself one and then she would go and try to take more and more from him he enjoyed her so much. Growing up with my Nana and granddaddy was the highlight of my entire childhood I am so thankful for them as my grandparents not only so loving and supportive for anything I did or anyone in the family did but how wonderful they raised their son, My father. Him and my father were the best of friends and it filled my heart with such joy because my father is the best man I know next to my granddaddy and it’s because of my granddaddy these two men are who I have always looked up to and who I consider my heroes. The way my granddaddy was with my Nana was so heartfelt and they gave me hope because he loved her and endlessly and until the day he passed. She was his everything and the love between those two gave me hope for life the love those two had for a family gave me hope for life. I can honestly say that I would not be the woman I am today without them and I am heartbroken but filled with peace because they have been reunited. My granddaddy meant so much to me he was so funny and sarcastic and did just the cutest things that would give me the biggest smile and whenever he would have a small giggle or eight would see that smile from him my heart was purely full. Granddaddy I love you so much I miss you so much and life won’t be the same without you but you are at rest with Nana and I know that’s where you want to be with your amazing beautiful loving wife.
