Roch Robert Cappelli (Robbie)(Rocky) was a ray of light to all who knew him - loving, compassionate, funny, smart, joyful, with an enthusiasm for life and for all those he met doesn’t even begin to describe him. He was a devout Catholic and showed not only his family and friends, but even complete strangers, what it looks like to live as a man of God. Many of us have been blessed by his good works for which he wanted no credit. His capacity for putting himself last, helping those in need and ability to generate smiles and laughter made a positive impact on all who knew him.

Roch exemplified great faith, loyalty to family and his church along with a strong work ethic. On July 13, 2019 his dreams of finding eternal life with Our Savior Jesus Christ were finally realized after battling Lewy Body Dementia for over 5 years.
Roch was born to Mary (Romano) Cappelli and Carlo Cappelli on December 27, 1937, and lived in the Bronx, NY - which he highly prized - for most of his life, moving to Northern Westchester County when his health demanded it.
After his graduation from Manhattan College, over 40 years were spent working as an electrical engineer for Con Edison where he displayed loyalty to colleagues and the company. Roch dedicated 7 more years working for the NYC Department of Education as a substitute teacher where his sense of caring and creativity in dealing with challenges was admired by both students and colleagues.
Roch cherished his family and leaves behind his wife Jane (Koehler), four children, Eric, Brett (Jo-Ann), Joy (Philip) Spiegel, Jed (Ginger), 7 grandchildren and brother Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Brett Anthony.
