Obituary

Manuel Moreno passed away peacefully at Rosary Hill Home on April 23 at 89 years of age after a long battle with Cancer. Manuel was born on Friday April 10, 1931 in Medellin, Colombia. He was the fourth of six children. He grew up in Medellin until he moved to New York in the 1960’s.

Manuel was a very hard and dedicated workingman. He came to this country with his ex-wife Nelly Nunez and children Rosemary, Dora, and John in the search of the American dream. He worked for many years as a foreman in a construction company. In fact, he collaborated with the development of the World Trade Center. Manuel was fierce in his sense of responsibility with work and took this as well in his dedication to his family. He was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His smile was unique and contagious. He had a great sense of humor and was always positive.

Manuel is survived by wife Alicia Moreno, family members Albert and Dora Capicotto, Stefan and Natalia Bahr, Denise Moreno, grandchildren Jennifer Tartaglia-Forster, Jacqueline Tartaglia, Anthony and Ashton Moreno, Krystal Galiczynski, Luciana and Max Bahr, great grandchildren Angelina Capo, Kaylee Forster, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Manuel is pre-deceased by children Rosemary Moreno-Chertok and John Moreno

He will forever be missed and will always remain in our hearts.
