Jeanette Ann Farmer departed this world on Sunday morning, August 30 at 6:30 AM, and now is resting in Heaven with our Lord. She was a good Christian.

Jeanette was born in Georgetown, British Guyana, on October 1, 1942. Her parents were Lucile Ferdinand and George Hill.

Jeanette was a warm, vibrant, beautiful person from the day that she was born until the instant she died. Her last word was "Oh" , as if someone had pleasantly shown her how life really works.

She was an immaculate dresser. Everything had to be just so. She was a dancer, an artist, and a pianist. She was generous and loving. A fire burned within her soul that lit up our whole world with her joy.

Her work was her way of sharing herself. In Guyana she worked for banks. In New York, her favorite job was working as a receptionist for CBS records. She took her young Son, Peter to work with her, where her boss would play him records all day long. Later she worked for Sony and Macy's. In the Hudson Valley she worked in the recreation departments of several nursing homes. She played and sang old time songs, put on Nativity plays and taught the senior citizens how to decorate for the holidays.

Jeanette is survived by Her Husband, Roderick Farmer; Sons James Alexander Farmer and Peter Paszkiewicz; Grandchildren Emma and Andrew Paszkiewicz; Her Brother, Peter Hill; a Sister, Terry Godfrey; Another Sister,Patricia Miller, is with the Lord She is also survived by so many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and step children that they cannot be counted. She loves them all.

And we all love you Jenny. We know, as in your Mother's words, that you have "kept the home fires burning”

Written by Peter

A wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother with a smile as big as the sun and heart to match. Kind beyond words and always willing to help everyone she met. She loved art and her piano. She put a spark into all of our lives with every step she took. As long as her time with us was, It was not long enough. We will always long for her in our lives.

Written by Alex

How can I sum up in one word to describe my Mom. It's easy. LOVE. Though it sounds simple, Love bears many fruits. Caring, compassion, generosity, empathy, sympathy, nurturing, kindness, inspiration, guidance, wisdom and so much more. Mom was so full of love, she would light up a room. Her smile was far more radiant than the sun. She played piano beautifully and was an artist in so many different ways. Many remember her as fun and energetic and a fashion icon. To me she was a light in the darkness. Her wisdom was Love and she taught me that and is still teaching me that. My heart and her heart are one. I know that she goes before me to prepare for my eventual arrival in Heaven. She has a new perfect body where she can dance again and rejoice and is reunited with her loved ones already there. I have the comfort of many signs and synchronicities to confirm that I will see her again soon. In fact, she said it herself to me in recent months. She said "Darling, don't worry. I'll see you soon." I know I will see you soon, Mom. I love you beyond words. GOD Blessed us all with your presence and light. Thank you for your precious, eternal love. Your Son forever, Alex.

“God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes
and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:3,4)

Today I chose a tree for you
a memorial to your life
each branch tells your story
of all your beautiful ways
I recall the joys and happiness
of a life we used to share
and as you sleep for just a while
until that new day dawns
With all my love
Your sister

I remember Mrs. Farmer from the 1990s. I worked at the Post Office in Chappaqua and she was a regular customer. She always had such a big smile on her face and was always as cheerful as could be. I was saddened to read of her passing but I’m sure her family and friends will be comforted by the memories that such a sweet person must have made. You and she will be remembered in my prayers.

My cousin Jenny was a beautiful person. Very artistic, generous and kind. I remember years ago when I was a little girl back in Guyana visiting Aunt Lucille and Uncle George and seeing Jenny looking very smart in her Bank suit. She always had a smile and kind word encouraging me to do my best at school. Dear Jenny may you rest in the arms of the Angels. Sincere sympathy to the family and may treasured memories of your beloved Jenny bring comfort and consolation in the coming days. Love cousin Nellie Ferdinand.
