Obituary for Barbara I Diorio (Irving)
Barbara passed away peacefully at her home in Peekskill NY, on September 25 2022 at the age of 92.
Barbara was born in Yonkers NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Irving. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Alfred, her son David and grandson Steven Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Giuliani and her husband Ilvo, Linda Diorio her daughter in-law, Steven and his wife Marylisa, Thomas and his wife Debbie, Christopher and his wife Barbara, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Being a wife and mother was all she wanted out of life. She greatly succeeded.
Ma is sorely missed already. She was the family anchor. Her home was the place to be for all the holidays and family gatherings.
Barbara cherished all the friends she made through her life; at church, throughout the neighborhood, mail carriers, while food shopping, anywhere she went.
Visiting hours will be on Oct 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Curry Giordano Funeral Home at 312 N. James St, Peekskill NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Oct 13 at 10 AM at the Church of the Assumption on 1st Street in Peekskill NY with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
